A complete cast copper alloy lipped terret dating from the late Iron Age to the early Roman period. The terret is D shaped in plan (93.3mm wide, 72.2mm long and 31.1mm thick), the hoop has a D shaped cross section. The hoops is decorated with three pairs of transverse lips (c. 27mm long, 24.5mm wide and 15.6mm thick) which are attached to the loop through an oval platform. Pottery rim sherd, perhaps from dish or lid. A hard white fabric with white tin glaze overall bears a green stripe along its edge, and the edge of a blue and white transfer printed design featuring water on its flat base or top. A letter, possibly Q, is embossed on the outer surface. Suggested date: Modern, 1850-1900. Wallace Collyer of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group kindly identified this sherd. Weight: 46.12gms.

Cast copper alloy flat axe dating from the Early Bronze Age, that is c. 2150-1500BC. The axe is narrow with tapering sides and there are no signs of a stop ridge. It has a rounded butt and a flared cutting edge with concave shoulders. The axe is extremely worn and the original surface has now corroded away. There is a small possibilty that it was decorated, but judging from the slightly tapering sides it is probably an earlier flat axe (that is from c. 2150-1700BC) rather than a later one from the Migdale metalworking tradition.
