Fragment of a possible Early Medieval lead strap end. This strap end is tongue shaped with a curved terminal and straight sides. This is flat in cross-section. The fragment is decorated with a central geometric motif and a border of dots around the edge.

An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end of medieval date. The strap end is sub-rectangular in plan with sides which taper to a rounded point. Two rivet holes are present oriented along the longitudinal axis of the strap end and can be seen projecting through on the reverse. The back plate of the strap end no longer remains and iron corrosion is present along with possible organic remains of the leather strap.
The metal has a dark brownish-black patina and is worn. The strap end is 49.5mm long, 15.3mm wide, 4.9mm thick and weighs 7.5g.

Copper alloy strap end. Cast zoomorphic split-ended strap end, of slightly waisted form and more elongated than most observed by this reporter. An elongated beast snout terminal with long and pointed lupine ears is, unusually, modelled on both sides. On that less worn side, the eyes are represented by a pair of tiny ring and dot, and whiskers are modelled running across the jowls. A complete cast copper alloy strap end of medieval date. The strap end is a composite piece which is sub-rectangular in plan, tapering towards a curved pointed terminal. The attachment end is flat with no visible rivet. The strap end is undecorated.
The metal has a light brownish-green patina and is worn. The strap end is 24.6mm long, 9.7mm wide, 3.2mm thick and weighs 2.3g.

A complete cast copper alloy strap end of medieval date. The strap end is a composite piece which is sub-rectangular in plan, tapering towards a curved terminal with a small knoped protrusion. The attachment end is biconcave with a single central rivet visible from both sides of the object. The strap end is undecorated.
The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The strap end is 24.5mm long, 9mm wide, 3.2mm thick and weighs 2g.

An incomplete Post-Medieval (probably c.1500-c.1700) copper alloy gilt strap-end, broken across the central rivet hole at the 'open' end. Measures 32.84x20.09x5.96mm and weighs 9.19g.

A cast copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date. It is a tongue-shaped flat strap end which is folded in half widthways. It has seven circular holes evenly spaced along the two sides and the outer edge for seperately cast rivets. Two on one edge are present, the rest are missing. There is a circular dome in the centre of the object and a single incised line along the top and bottom edges. It measures 46.17mm in length, 28.07mm in width, 3.83mm in thickness and weighs 28.20g.

A cast copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date. It is rectangular in shape and flat in section and is made of a single sheet folded lengthways. There are two circular holes for seperately cast rivets, the one at the attachment edge is present, the one at the outside edge is missing. There is no decoration. It measures 27.38mm in length, 12.99mm in width, 2.73mm in thickness and weighs 2.62g.
It is similar to examples published from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, no 578).

A cast copper-alloy forked spacer from a strap end of Medieval date. It is sub-triangular in shape and flat in section. The two sides join and form a terminal end with a collar and then an acorn knop. It measures 37.23mm in length, 13.04mm in width, 2.04mm in thickness and weighs 3.18g.

A cast copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date. It is sub-rectangular in shape and flat in section. It is a two piece strap end, probably with a sheet spacer but this can not be seen. It has a triangular outside edge which had a small knop which is broken. There are circular holes for two seperately cast rivets which are present, one at each end. There is no decoration. It measures 26.39mm in length, 12.95mm in width, 3.01mm in thickness and weighs 3.26g.
It is similar to examples published from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, nos 694 and 696).

Medieval, or possibly post medieval, copper alloy strap end dating between c1066 to c1600 AD, probably the fourteenth century. The rivets are still in place though the plate on one side has a signicant amount missing. There appears to be remnant white metal finish, possibly silvering. The length is 34mm and the width 21mm.
