Copper alloy nummus of Constantine I (306-37), D N CONSTANTINI MAX AVG, VOT XXX, Rome, AD 329. Mintmark -//RP. The obverse legend and type - CONSTANTI - NVS MAX AVG, Rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right - is only recorded in RIC for one known coin of this type with mintmark RS. This therefore might be the first recorded specimen of this issue with the mintmark RP. The coin has been acquired by the British Museum.
