An incomplete middle Anglo-Saxon copper alloy hair or dress pin. The polyhedral head is in the shape of a cuboid with the corners cut off. It has ring-and-dot decoration on the front and reverse (three motifs each), on the side faces and on each of the cut-off corner faces. On the top is an incised cross and there is a small collar below. The length of the head is 10mm including the collar, with a width of 10mm and a thickness of 5mm. The incomplete shaft is 10mm long and the overall length is 20mm. It weighs 2.35g. It dates to the 8th or 9th centuries.

A small copper alloy single loop D-shaped buckle frame with a sheet copper-alloy plate and copper-alloy wire pin still attached. The buckle has a pointed outer edge with a grooved pin rest. There also appears to be a decorative groove at either end of the bar, dividing it from the frame, although this may not be deliberate as the buckle is not well made. The frame is 21mm in length,13mm wide by 2mm thick. The plate shows signs of damage, with an apparently fragmentary edge. A complete post-medieval copper alloy enamelled mount for a leather strap or harness. The front of the mount has a domed surface with a near-flawless yellow enamel background which sits in the recesses of the decoration. A five-petalled flower is centrally placed on the top of the convex mount. It is surrounded by an inner circle of foliage made up of five simple curls and five leaves spaced alternately, all curving inwards towards the centre from a concentric ridge. A Medieval to early Post Medieval complete cast copper-alloy single loop 'D' shaped buckle with pin and an incomplete buckle plate. Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop buckle. The buckle has two oval loops which are bevelled on the inner and outer edges and have two moulded pin rests.The strap bar is narrowed with moulded lobed knops at either end. The pin is missing. The outer surface of the buckle frame bears traces of black lacquer and the metal on both faces is of a mottled medium green colour. The back is flat and undecorated. A Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle. The pin is missing. The strap bar and one outer edge of the frame has some iron staining, suggesting that the pin was composed of iron. There is a moulded knop on either end of the strap bar. The loops are rectangular with the outer edge pointed and bevelled, one containing traces of iron staining. The back is flat.The buckle measures 41.03mm long, 21.07mm wide, 2.23mm thick and it weighs 4.17 grams. Whitehead (2003) illustrates similar buckles (page 82, Nos. 512-513) which he dates to c.1620-1680 AD.

A Medieval or Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop buckle, missing its pin. The frame is flat with widened and bevelled outer edges and a narrowed strap bar. The strap bar ends are plain. The reverse of the buckle is flat and undecorated. The frame measures 24.74mm in length and 18.97mm in width and is 2.56mm thick. It weighs 3 grams. Whitehead (2003) illustrates a similar buckle (page 53, No.294) which he dates to c.1350-1650 AD.

A small (diameter c20mm) stone ball formed out of a hard grey sedimentary stone with visible bedding planes. It was found eroding out of an mid to late mesolithic strata. It has had its sphericity augmented by pecking and rubbing. Its purpose is unknown but it looks like a sling stone. It weighs 7.4 grms. Probably dates to between c8300 to c2900 BC. None of the very scarce comparable records has yet had a purpose ascribed to it. Numerous microliths, mesolithic debitage and material up to the Bronze Age, has been found on the site. see LANCUM-0F97C8 for further notes on this site.

An assembly of Mesolithic dating between c8300BC and c4500BC), milky white, translucent, flint microliths and microlithic debitage. The largest piece is only 8.5mm by 3.5mm, the smallest 4.5mm by 3mm. There are 10 fragments in total, some showing evidence of secondary working. They appear to be the result of the knapping or retouching of one tool, possibly while sheltering in the lee of the boulder by which they were found. A complete Late Mesolithic to Early Neolithic lithic implement. This implement is sub-rectangular in plan and has been made on a large secondary blade. The dorsal surface has five main flake removals and has been crudely worked at the distal end to form a cutting edge. A Post Medieval cast copper alloy casket key dating to c. 16th century AD. The key comprises a solid, circular-sectioned stem and a kidney-shaped bow (16.92mm wide) with two lugs projecting on the inside edge. The stem has three raised bands near the normal collar moulding under the bow. The tip of the stem projects slightly beyond the simple bit. The bit is rectangular in shape (measuring 7.85mm long x 5.37mm wide) and slightly tapered. The total length of the key measures 35mm long and it weighs 4.04 grams.
