An almost complete lead bag seal of modern date. The seal is comprised of a single disc of metal which is perforated by three parallel holes running across its diameter. The holes would have been for wire or textile ligatures which were used to secure a bag. Both sides are stamped with a central motif in a bordered roundel. On one side the image depicts a bird, most probably a pelican and the other side shows a pelican feeding its chicks with blood from its breast. An incomplete cast lead Papal Bulla of an uncertain Pope. Roughly one quarter of the bulla remains one side of which is heavily worn rendering it illegible and the other is stamped with the letters "RI" within a beaded border. Papal Bulla acted as seals on official Papal documents to authenticate their provenance and authority. The metal is a mid greyish-white colour and is extremely worn. The bulla is 29.4mm long, 18.6mm wide, 4.6mm thick and weighs 9.7g.

A complete cast lead seal box lid of Roman date. The lid is circular in plan with rounded fluted edges. From one edge of the lid a rectangular hinge projects with short copper alloy pin running through the central perforation. From the opposite edge a worn rectangular lug projects. The upper surface of the lid is decorated with a series of conjoined ring and dot designs. The reverse of the lid is recessed with thick sides and is undecorated. The metal is a mid brownish-white colour and is worn. The lid is 29.8mm in diameter, 37.2mm long with hinges, 6.3mm in diameter and weighs 25.2g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy brooch of Roman date. The brooch is of the dragonesque type dating to the 2nd century AD. The brooch is curvilinear forming a roughly S-shaped piece with an oval "head" at one end and a worn break at the other. The body of the brooch bears faint traces of decoration though the degree of wear has rendered it indiscernible. The surviving head has a central ring and dot design representing an eye. The reverse of the brooch is undecorated and the pin no longer remains though a patch of iron corrosion around one "neck" suggests the positioning of the pin. …

A complete cast lead seal matrix of medieval date. The seal is a pointed oval or vessica shape with a perforated lug set on a central rib on the longitudinal axis of the reverse. The central motif is a crude eight pointed star within a pointed oval border and a circumferential legend which is noe largely illegible. The crown of the thimble has been lost to old breaks and there is a crack extending the full length of the object. An incomplete stone axehead of Neolithic date. The axehead is sub-oval in both plan and section with extensive damage to one side. One face is smooth and polished while the other has lost much of its original surface due to damage resulting in a rough irregular appearance. The cutting edge of the axe is still fairly sharp with two small damaged notches to either side. The axe is comprised of a grey-green fine-grained siliceous tuff - a sedimentary volcanic rock possibly from the Great Langdale quarries in Cumbria. On each side of the ampulla semi-circular suspension loops are present though one has been crushed against the body. A complete cast lead object of uncertain date and function. Both surfaces are decorated with a series of conjoined lozenge shapes resembling scales and both have circular protrusions for eyes. One side also bears a raised triangular fin-like protrusion while the reverse demonstrates a protruding knop, possibly incomplete but is a possible mount. These features give the appearance of a fish design though no parallels could be found. The metal is a mid whitish-grey colour and is worn. The object is 70.6mm long, 35.9mm wide, 21.3mm thick and weighs 156g.
