A pair of complete but bent copper alloy tweezers probably dating to the medieval period. The tweezers are undecorated and the loop at the top is quite large which suggests that they may have been part of a toiletries set. Probably c. AD 1200-1500 however it is hard to say with any certainty what period these tweezers might date to.

A near complete copper-alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type), cf. Mackreth 2011, 5.a3. Plate 50. Roman date (80-120AD). In plan, the brooch is T-shaped, and semi-circular in cross section. The bow head is humped and angular in profile, with cylindrical wings projecting from either side at the top. Roman copper alloy Headstud brooch, 50mm long, 19mm wide and 17mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 17.08grams. The brooch is complete except for part of the catch plate. It has a coiled spring and intact pin, which sits on open slightly stepped wings. Its bow is sub rectangular in section and below its raised circular 'head stud' it has a recessed band running its length which is partially filled with an off white material, probably enamel. It has a slightly stepped foot and a large partially intact catch plate which is over half the length of the bow.

A misshapen an incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy buckle chape (c. 1720-1770 AD). Most of the frame is missing and the surviving parts are rectangular in cross-section. It has two lugs that contain parts of an iron spindle. It has traces of a green patina and the breaks are old and abraded. 47.02 x 21.27 x 4.93mm. Weight: 6.15g. The frame is in 'cooking pot' style. See Whitehead 1996: 103-104.

An unusual and incomplete Medieval (1100-1500) copper alloy tinned buckle frame with rotating plate instead of a pin, missing part of the open end. The frame and plate are cast as one, with a separate bar for the pin (c.2mm diameter) inserted behind the frame section. Measures 32.32x10.81x5.45mm and weighs 2.8g.
