A gold finger ring of a style attributable to the 14th century AD. The frame is mis-shapen but is approximately 15mm in diameter and D-shaped in section. 1.5mm wide each side of the bezel, the frame narrows towards the back and appears to have been worn thinner through use. A rectangular segment separates the frame from the bezel. This segment is 1.8mm wide and 3mm long with 5 linear grooves etched into it. The bezel is oval in plan, measuring 13mm long, 8mm wide and 3mm thick. Sitting inside the bezel is a clear stone, made of either glass or crystal but which cannot be further defin…

2. (KKGF 03 (205). sf 234).Incomplete necklace. The necklace is constructed in the same manner as no. 1, although the terminal, of which only the hook part survives, has a rectangular sheet metal cover plate wrapped around it. The chain is irregularly interspersed with a series of cut stones: there are 10 reddish-brown polyhedral faceted garnets, two disc-shaped garnets, and three cylindrical emeralds of different sizes. It is possible that some of the beads were added to substitute missing originals, with the ten faceted garnets perhaps representing the original stones and the other,…

1. (KKGF 03 (205). sf 233). Fragment of a bracelet or necklace. The surviving section is composed of a series of gold filigree double-loop links, the bars of which were threaded with polyhedral faceted beads of the green stone variscite. Seven beads survive. The terminals consist of a hook and eye attachment, each of which were soldered onto the last link chain by means of a triangular plate. Both terminals survive attached to each other; one part of the chain is missing, and it is unclear exactly how long the chain was originally, although it has been suggested that this item of jew…

Circumstances of discovery
In February 2010, 21 Iron Age gold coins and a gold torc fragment were discovered. The coins were found at the same site as five earlier groups of coins (2003 T7, 2005 T18, 2006 T564, 2007 T624 and 2009 T182, with a total of 118 coins) and should be considered as addenda to the earlier hoard.
The coins
The coins consist of 6 gold staters and 15 gold quarter staters, of types associated with the Cantii, a people thought to have inhabited parts of modern Kent during the late Iron Age. All were produced from the mid to late first century BC, with the e…

The makers mark LJ Co is stamped on one terminal. Wear visible on upper face of outer surface. The object is probably a bracelet. Description: A gold biconical bead from a necklace, made from a single coiled length of plain unbeaded wire. Both ends of the wire appear original; one is neatly tapered and the other has a blunter end. The coils are soldered together, but there does not appear to be an internal backplate to which the wire is soldered, as there are occasional cracks through which the solid soil infilling can be seen.
The bead is slightly flattened lengthways and there is an indentation on one side.
Dimensions: It measures 12mm in length and 5mm at its widest, and weighs 1.9g.

Circumstances of Discovery
In October 2006, twenty seven Iron Age coins were discovered. Two early groups of coins (2003T7 and 2005T18) were found at the same spot in 2002 and 2004 respectively, suggesting that the present coins should be considered as addenda to these earlier finds.
The Coins
One of the coins is an uninscribed gold 'stater'; the others are smaller uninscribed gold 'quarter staters'. All were produced towards the end of the first century BC. As none have inscriptions they cannot be directly associated with an historical attested ruler. Their style of these co…
