A cast copper alloy toggle of late Iron Age or Early Roman date. It is a cylindrical bar decorated with 11 grooves running round the bar. There is a hollow in each end of the bar. From the centre of one side projects a broken loop, with one of the grooves dividing the loop into two halves as well. The breaks are worn and patinated. The toggle has a grey green patina. Compare LON-1A6571, CAM-DEB4B0, DENO-FE3BA7 and GLO-1B1400. HAMP-2931B4 and SWYOR-7D71D7 may also be related.

A cast copper alloy, dumbbell shaped toggle, dating from the late Iron Age or early Roman period, 100BC-AD100. It consists of two hemispheres joined together by a narrower, circular neck. There is a single groove around the base of each hemisphere where it joins the central section. The toggle has a rough, light green patina. It is 21.9mm long and 10.8mm in diameter. It weighs 9.21gm.

A cast copper alloy, Roman dumbell toggle dating from the late 1st-3rd century. It consists of a waisted central section with a small collar and a rounded globular terminal at each end. The toggle displays a patchy, light green patina. It is 23.2mm long and 9.4mm in diameter. It weighs 5.96gm. A similar toggle is illustrated in Cool & Philo (Eds.), 1998, Roman Castleford, Excavations 1974-85: The Small Finds, page 114, number 784. 10 fragments of tile of uncertain date. Two fragments are distinctly curved, probably from roof tiles, and all are bright brick red, but the fabrics vary. One has lenses of white clay and pink clay, and large lumps of white clay. Others are a more uniform orange colour throughout. Some have quartz inclusions. Some are darker red with small black inclusions. Many are sanded on one face. They are all 13 - 18mm thick. The tiles could date from the Roman, Medieval or Post Medieval periods.

A fragment of a ceramic roof tile of Medieval or Post Medieval date. It is flat and rectangular, but all the edges are breaks. There is a large peg hole in the centre of one edge. The hole tapers from 18mm diameter to 13mm. The fabric is hard and dark orange with an irregular texture. One face is much rougher than the other. There are few inclusions of shell, quartz and larger rough angular grey stones.

A complete Post-Medieval cast copper alloy (brass) thimble with sloping sides and a domed top, dating to about 1650-1850. The top of the thimble has cross-hatched decoration, a waffle pattern, rather than circular pits. The main body of the thimble is decorated with circular pits and has an undecorated band above a rolled rim. The thimble is in good condition but there is no original patina surviving. A copper alloy Late medieval or Post-medieval thimble. It is of 'beehive' shape, with a conical dome and slightly flared sides. There are a pair of grooves defining a band around its rim. The pits appear to have been made in vertical rows running up the sides and over the top to the centre of the dome of the thimble, leaving a bare tonsure.There are three notches in the edge of the rim; these seem to be a feature of the method of manufacture. The thimble has a varied mid green patina. The walls are 1.43mm thick.

There is a single, narrow groove running around the base of the thimble and another at the top. It has a dark green patina. It is 18mm in diameter at the base and 13.4mm high. It weighs 6.2gm. An incomplete unusual double walled copper alloy beehive thimble, probably dating from 1400-1500 AD. It is slightly squashed and there is extensive damage to the rim and one side. Originally it was dome shaped, with no division between crown and sides. Unusually, this thimble either has a double layered wall, or is in fact two thimbles which were stacked one inside the other when deposited.
