Post medieval jetton; struck copper alloy jetton of French origin and probable 17th century date. The token is quite worn but seems to have a cross within a tressure of arches on one side, surrounded by an inscription. The other side has an elaborate double cross with lys terminals. The edge of the token on this side is too worn to determine whether there was any inscription.

A corroded copper-alloy jetton of French origin and late medieval date. No exact parallel could be found for the reverse design on this jetton but similar examples are illustrated by Mitchiner (1988; pp. 201) and it is doubtless a 15th century issue, probably struck during the reign of Charles VII (c. 1447-1461 AD). A hole has been pierced for later conversion into a pendant. The jetton measures 28.2mm in diameter, 0.7mm thick and weighs 2.01g.

A 17th-century copper-alloy 'rose / orb' jetton struck by Wolf Lauffer II (fl. 1612-51 AD), 'GOTTES SEGEN MACHT REICH', at Nuremberg (Mitchiner 1709).
This jetton has survived well; the flaws on the reverse face must relate to the die as they can be seen on jettons of this type.
