A Medieval to post-Medieval cast copper-alloy front-plate from a two-piece chape belonging to a dagger or sword (c. 1450-c. 1550 AD). Ward Perkins Type II. The front plate of a two-piece open-work tongue-shaped chape. It is convex at the front and hollow at the rear. At the top, its maximum width is 28.69mm. From the top the sides taper inwards to the pointed base where there is a rounded knop. Above the knop, a central vertical rib is decorated with evenly spaced oblique grooves. Cast lead alloy weight dating from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period, (1100-1700). The object is circular in plan and oval in cross-section. The outer edge has been rolled inwards to form a rounded rim leaving a hexagon shaped shallow in the centre. The centre of the objet rises up unevenly. The object has a mid-white patina. Lead weights are common throughout the Medieval and Post-Medieval period.

An incomplete copper-alloy object, probably a horse harness pendant, probably dating to the eleventh century. The object is roughly semi-circular, openwork, and has an original edge around the curved perimeter. The interior 'flat' edge is broken. The openwork cells are triangular and are randomly placed, leaving thin lines of metal decorated with moulded pellets. There are no attachment fittings visible on the reverse. Similar objects on the database are: DOR-7192B5, SF-951660, DENO-C69B56.

A cast copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date. It comprises two identical plates that are rectangular in form with slightly concave attachment ends, tapering towards the base where there is a small projecting rectangular knop. At the attachment and and at the terminal end there are single central circular copper-alloy rivets with flattened round heads. It measures 26.87mm in length, 14.81mm in width, 3.41mm in thickness and 3.29g in weight. This is a Medieval strap end of 14th century AD date.

A copper alloy French jetton, struck during the reign of Charles V or VI (AD 1373-1415). A jetton is a type of reckoning counter and were used across Europe for c.400 years. This example bears the inscription AVE MARIA GRACIA PL(ENA), which translates to "Hail Mary, full of grace". Mitchiner (1988) p179-182, no. 462-480.

A cast copper-alloy knife stop of Post-Medieval date. It is rectangular in plan and section with a rectangular transverse groove or slot through which the tang of the knife would have passed. It measures 18.42mm in length, 11.42mm in width, 11.56mm in thickness, and 10.16g in weight. This object is similar to other knife stops recorded through the PAS (for example SF-540221, NMS-25B303 or ESS-0CF1C2) and is of probable Post-Medieval date, c.16th-18th century AD if not later.

A cast lead token of Post-Medieval date. It is flat, disc shaped in form and with moulded decoration on both faces. This comprises on one face a concentric heart-shaped motif and on the other a rectlinear cross-hatched motif. It measures 25.34mm in diameter, 1.82mm in thickness and 5.95g in weight. This is a cast lead token or counter, its form and decoration suggesting a Post-Medieval date perhaps in the 16th to 18th centuries AD.

An incomplete Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy sleeve clasp. The clasp is worn but might be of Hines' B12 group. The clasp is rectangular, flat and has three raised panels; the outer are square and the central one is rectangular. It is possible due to the small size that this example maybe from a handle rather than foot. The foot is broadly sub-rectangular in plan with an oval (D shaped) faceted cross section. A copper alloy loop from a swivel type of strap fitting dating from the Medieval period. It consists of one of originally two oval frames, each with a loop ending in zoomorphic terminals attached to a hollowed flattened hemispherical centre. The hollow area would have held a corresponding rivet projecting from the other half. The animal moulding is very worn. The mouth clasps the flattened-hemispherical centrepiece. A squashed copper-alloy open type sheet thimble of medieval date. The ring features punched circular indentations in an irregular left-hand spiral round the sides. At top and bottom. above and below the pits, is an incised line. This thimble has been squashed at the sides leading to abrasions. The thimble is now dark grey in colour and has a off-white corrosion product internally. It may have once had a separately applied dome which is now missing as it seems quite tall for a conventional sewing ring.

A small copper alloy knife which probably dates from the Post Medieval period. It is unusual in having a copper alloy blade and (if complete) a very short blade. The blade has a straight back and the cutting edge curves to form a point. The blade is riveted between two plate of copper alloy which form the handle. They are rectangular and slightly tapering. An incomplete cast copper alloy seal matrix of medieval date. The seal matrix is oval in plan and tapers on the reverse to a short oval sectioned stem. The stem proper has been lost to an old worn break. The seal is engraved with the initials "WC" separated by a foliate design with expanding limbs above and below the letters. The metal has a dark greyish-brown patina and is worn. The seal is 15.7mm long, 14.2mm wide, 4.2mm thick (due to break in stem) and weighs 2.5g.
