A silver medieval penny of Edward III. The coin is of Edward's third 'Florin' coinage and dates from AD 1344 to 1351. It is of Florin type 4, minted in York and is North number 1130. Obverse EDW R' ANGL DNS HYB (crowned bust facing, bushy hair and broad neck and shoulders, reversed Ns in legend). Reverse CIVI/TAS/EBO/RACI (long cross dividing the legend, three pellets in each angle and a quatrefoil in the centre). The coin suffers from some wear and damage.

An extremely worn and clipped, incomplete 15th-century silver late medieval penny of uncertain ruler, probably York mint. This coin has been broken as a result of old damage and around a third of the flan has been lost to a ragged break. It has also been bent slightly in profile, especially at the break.
