Mesolithic flake knapped from light orange-brown stone. The dorsal surface has a central arrise, which then formed into two parallel arrises where another flake has been removed from the surface. The edges are serrated with short, semi-abrupt removals. The distal end has been worked to a point, with abrupt removals on one side, and long removals on the other. The proximal end has a partial hinge fracture, possible where the proximal end of the flake has been used to create trapezoid microliths. There is no bulb of percussion on the ventral surface, however impact ripples extend down it…

Mesolithic worked-out two-platfrom flake core knapped from dark grey flint. The core has two opposing platforms; The primary platfrom has a significant amount of scaring around it. Once this platform became exhausted, the core was turned 180 degrees to form a secondary platform. This secondary platform has several points of percussion on its edge, where the platfrom was prepared. Flakes have been removed from all surfaces of this core, mainly with feathered or stepped terminations, however one side is curved with an overshot termination. Flakes of differing sizes have been removed fro…

Possibly a very crude core of Mesolithic date, knapped from dark grey flint. There is evidence of removals from 90% of the surface, with the remaining area being covered in a natural, cream coloured cortex. There are flaking scars and impact ripples covering the surface of the flint. However, there does not appear to be any evidence of platform preporation thus this could possibly be a natural nodule of flint. It is 73.35mm long, 50.40mm wide, 29.18mm thick and weighs 132 grams.

Neolithic flint scraper knapped from mid to dark grey flint. The Dorsal surface has covering removals to form the shape of the scraper, with low angle removals at the distal end to form the curved scraping edge. The ventral surface has no evidence of retouch. There is a bulb of percussion at the proximal end with some scaring around the point of percussion. Impact ripples run along the length of this surface. The scraper is 51.51mm long, 39.04mm wide and 7.28mm thick.

Seven flint flakes. One of the flakes is a utilised flint flake or possible crudely-made flint scraper probably Neolithic in date (circa 3500-2100 BC). On the dorsal surface of the flint many flakes have been removed. The striking platform and the bulb of percussion both still surface and are visible of the ventral surface. The flint is worn and the sharp edges are abraded (weight: 25.9g). Five of the flakes are simply waste flint flakes, with flakes previously removed from their surfaces (total weight: 9.2g). One of the flakes is a fragment of fire cracked flint (weight: 3.9g).

Flint retouched flake which may have been used as a blade or as a transverse arrowhead, sub-triangular in plan and lozenge-shaped in profile and section. The distal end, which is the blade edge, has been unimarginally retouched on the dorsal face. The right margin of the dorsal face has been worked into a point and the left margin at the proximal end has been retouched to create an edge for hafting. The proximal end has been snapped off just below the bulb of percussion and retains a few fragments of cortex. The flint is a mottled light to dark grey colour, probably made from a loc…

Flint projectile point, triangular in plan and plano-convex in profile and section. The distal end and lateral margins have been unimarginally retouched on the dorsal face. The proximal end has been snapped off above the bulb of percussion is, perhaps deliberately to create an indented end for better hafting. There appear to be gloss marks on both the dorsal and ventral faces, leading from the edges inwards, which suggest that it may have been sheathed. The flint is a mottled light to dark grey colour, probably made from a local beach pebble, and the length to breadth ratio is about…
