A complete ovate obliquely blunted discoidal Knife of late Mesolithic date 6500-3500BC. The lithic is a subtrianglar shape. The dorsal surface is composed of a main dorsal ridge created by the removal of a large flake on the right hand side of the distal edge, two other flaking scars with corresponding arrises to the proximal left and side of the dorsal surface. A Medieval (1250-1500) copper alloy gilt horse harness pendant, missing its enamel decoration. It measures 31.94x26.18x7.06mm and weighs 4.46g. The pendant itself is c.1mm thick and sub triangular in shape, the bottom edge being concave while the other two edges are convex. It depicts a dragon walking right within a 1.5mm wide rim, along the edges of the pendant. An incomplete fragment of a cast copper alloy socketed axehead of Bronze Age date 1000-800 BC. The fragment consists of a part of the rim of the socket. There is a raised casting seam running laterally and centrally to the fragment. The collar consists of a single stepped raised edge at the socketed end. The remaining profile suggests it is from a sub-rectangular socket and is therefore a curvilinear profile. 2012 T329 Bassetlaw, Nottinghamshire I have examined an object found at Bassetlaw, Nottinghamshire. It a silver coin that has been converted into a brooch or clothes fastening by the addition of attachments to one side: a round eye that could enable it to be sewn to a garment and a hook. These attachments are still in place and in good condition. A fragment of the coin itself has broken off.
