The stylus measures 40.6mm long, 6.7mm wide, 5.1mm thick and weighs 8.3 grams. Similar styli have been recorded by the PAS (NARC-88EE8…

Incomplete La Tene I 'leaf' type brooch of Iron Age date, circa 400 to 200 BC; smaller but similar in design to Hattatt 223. A heavily corroded copper alloy item, probably a buckle, possibly with remains of the pin. The original form of the item is difficult to see under the corrosion but it appears to be a simple single loop buckle with a oval frame. The frame appears to be D-shaped in cross section witha flat back and originally 26.7mm long, 4.3mm wide and 2.3mm thick. There are corroded remains across the centre of the loop that may have been part of the pin. The object appears to be incomplete and consists of two pieces of metal wire placed one on top of the other and slightly fused together. One end of the two wires is broken. The other is enlarged into a triangular shape and flattened. The back of this trangular area is rough suggesting it may have been attached to a larger item. The front of the area is also rough but is a way that suggests it was melted or had semi-melted pieces attached. The object is possibly part of a handle which was attached a vessel at the flattened and enlarged end. It was either damaged by heat or not finished…
