A Post Medieval Buckle dating from AD 1575-1700 and made of cast copper alloy with an iron pin and plate. It is double looped and asymmetrical with one trapezoid and one D shaped loop. The D shaped loop has a projection from the outer edge which is in the shape of an acorn. There is a slight knop at each end of the bar.  See Buckles 1250-1800, page 92, No 584 by Ross Whitehead (2003)  pblished by Greenlight Publishing.
