A large gold finger ring with no decoration or hallmarks. The band is D-shaped in cross-section. The shape is consistent with a date in the early post-medieval period (16th - 17th century), but in the absence of either inscription, exterior decoration, or maker's mark, there is not enough evidence to confirm that it is more than 300 years old.
