An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy belt mount, probably for use as a sword belt hanger. In plan the mount is comprised of a tapering rectangle with an inward facing chevron shape at one end and a narrowed rectangular backward looping closed hook at the other. The main body has two circular rivet holes on its central axis, one of which has substantial iron remains on the reverse side. The upper face of the mount has rounded edges and the reverse face is slightly dished. It is 30mm long, 14mm wide, 14mm thick and weighs 3.28g.

The lower surface is flat with two pointed attachment pins that have been bent, presumably during attachment. The arms are of open semi-circular cross section formed around a copper alloy rod and coil which is contiguous with the pin, now mostly missing. The catchplate is pierced by a 2mm hole. The brooch is in poor, corroded condition, is 44mm long, 32mm wide, 20mm thick and weighs 13.49g.
