A Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface circular token. The token has a raised design of an intial or intials, probably intended to be a single letter W (designed as two overlapping letter Vs). There is a single raised pellet both above and below the letter. The reverse is blank. Lead tokens are difficult to date precisely and could be Medieval to Post Medieval in date (1250-1800 AD). The token is bifacial and has an image on the obverse that may be a ship in sail, or a stylised combination of initials such as CIH. The reverse has a central diamond shaped device that has curved lines surrounded each edge as an outer border. 16th-18th century AD.

A uniface lead-alloy token of Medieval to post-Medieval date. The upper surface is divided in two by a relief-moulded vertical line of two strands; in addition, the right-hand side is further subdivided by a horizontal line of similar form. A letter 'N' is located within the bottom right quadrant, with a second such letter situated central to the left hand side of the token. Both letters are of Roman form and are reverse-barred. A low rim extends around the circumference of the token. Dimensions: 19.9mm diameter, 1.3mm thick. Weight: 2.95g.

Cast lead-alloy token dating from the late post-medieval or early modern period, that is c. AD1600-1900. The token was made crom cast lead and displays a Latin cross seperating the initial I and M on the obverse and the moon with face/man in the moon on the reverse. These tokens were often home made and very personalised suggesting that the IM were the initial of the issuer, with the token being used for his or his companies goods.

Copper penny token issued by John Williams III (1753-1841) of Scorrier House, Redruth which was bought by him in 1778 when he was running Scorrier Mine. The obverse of the coin depicts a pumping engine house, with brickwork on the chimney, and a winding machine with the inscription PAYABLE AT SCORRIER HOUSE upon a ribbon above the scene, and below it in four lines in exergue ONE POUND FOR 240 TOKENS IN 1812. The complexity of the design suggests a probable late Medieval or Post Medieval date for this token (c.1450-1800AD). It measures 21.00 mm in diameter and is 2.10 mm thick and it weighs 5.81 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore difficult to date precisely, however tokens with initials or letters are given a general date of c. 1550-1800.
