A cast copper-alloy strap loop of some sort, almost certainly of late Iron Age to very early Roman in date, from circa 120 BC to AD 50. The loop is oval in plan and the sides are waisted, so that the sides flare outwards on the outside of the loop to a ridge at the top and bottom. The outside of the loop is decorated with triangular cells arranged in an 'hour glass' motif, with the points of the triangle facing one another. These 'hour glass' motifs alternate between a horizontal and vertical arrangement around the loop and the cells were almost certainly originally filled with enamel…

An asymmetrical, zoomorphic harness fitting or loop of Iron Age date. It is oval shaped in section and expands at one end to give the impression that the object is formed from an oval shaped bar with elongated terminals that have been folded against one another to create an asymmetrical loop. However, the entire object seems to be cast as one, the two 'terminals' delineated by an incised groove. One 'terminal' is undecorated but expands to produce a rectangular profile and section, forming a blunt end at the base(?) of the loop. The other is zoomorphic in form comprising projecting se…

An Iron Age uninscribed Gallo-Belgic C gold stater, probably class I type, dating to c. 60-50 BC. The reverse depicts a horse advancing right with a plain pellet below, with small crescent and pellets upper right and charioteer's arms with a larger pellet and crescent left. The obverse is completely plain. The shape of the coin is oval, instead of circular, therefore it is possible that further detail is missing. For a similar example, cf. ABC 16; also VA 50-56.
