A silver Post Medieval coin; a shilling of Charles I (1625- 1649), too worn to identify the group. It is clipped, removing the legend, and the coin has been pierced at 12o'clock on the obverse, so if suspended from the hole, the king's bust would be upright.

A silver Post Medieval coin; a shilling of Charles I (1625 - 1649), Group F, triangle in circle initial mark (1641 - 1643). See North number 2231. The coin appears to have moved during the striking as there are two Gs in "D G" on the obverse, and the inner lines do not meet to form circles. The rest of the coin however, does not appear to be double struck.
