A Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface circular token. The token has a raised cross design, with a single raised pellet in each angle,possibly intended to imitate a Medieval long cross penny. The reverse is blank. Lead tokens are difficult to date precisely and could be Medieval to Post Medieval in date (1250-1800 AD). Medieval lead alloy token? 18mm in diameter and 5mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 6.27grams. It is circular in form and sub triangular (domed) in section. It has a flat, plain underside and its upper surface is decorated with raised lines spiralling from the centre.

This is a farthing token of Samuel Thorold, mercer of South Town, also known as South Yarmouth, Norfolk, 1668.
