A copper-alloy Lion of St Mark jetton of Nuremburg Master Hans Krauwinckel I c.1562-1586 AD. As Mitchiner, 1988: no. 1475.
Obverse: *S*MARCVS*EVANGELLIST*GOTT***, Lion of St Mark, standing left, nimbate and with both wings shown, holding the Book of Gospels between fore-paws. Halo rising into the margin surmounted by a star.
Reverse: *HANS+KRAVWINCKEL+NVRENBER, An Imperial Orb surmounted by a cross pattee, within an ornate tressure, within a decorated inner circle.
