A cast copper alloy single looped oval buckle frame with a debased ornate outside edge style, typically of late 12th to late 14th Centuries AD. It consists of a oval frame, with an narrow offset bar, with a recess for the leather strap. The pin is missing. The front of the buckle has moulded decoration, along the outside edge, the reverse is flat and undecorated. The decoration consists of three horizonal incised slits across the outer edge, with V shaped knops present at the top and bottom. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1500-c. 1650 AD). One loop is missing and the surviving loop oval in plan, convex at the front and flat at the rear. The upper face is bevelled on the inside. The central bar is triangular in cross-section. The tapering copper-alloy pin is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. It has a length of 19.44m and the width of the loop is 3.48mm. There is no indication of a pin-rest. An incomplete Early Post-Medieval (1500-1700) copper alloy cast strap plate for a double oval buckle frame, with one iron rivet in situ. It is missing another rivet and its back plate (old break). It measures 30.57x15.04x2.98mm and weighs 3.25g. The attachment plate (1.76mm thick) has two arms either side of a cut-out for the pin, broken just as they begin to curve (originally around the buckle's axis bar). An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle dating to the end of the Medieval period (1400-1500). The buckle is sub rectangular in shape, the two longer sides curve towards the interior. There is moulded decoration on one side of the object, the other side is undecorated. Around the centre of the longer sides of the object there is some corrosion, the pin and the spindle are also missing. The object weighs 4.3g, measuring 26.17mm in length, 18.78mm in width and 2.91mm thick. See Whitehead (2003), pg. 59 for parallels of this type of buckle.

Large fragment of a buckle plate dating from the medieval period, that is c. AD1250-1400. The fragment surviving belonged to a single looped buckle with decorated integral buckle plate. The buckle frame, pin holder and pin are missing. The surfaces of the plate are very worn and do not show any sign of surface decoration. There is only a very small moulding towards the tip of the plate, next to the rivet hole.

An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1660-c. 1720 AD). The iron spindle is largely missing and one corner of the frame is missing. When complete it had four openwork crescent-shaped perforations at each corner. One of these is missing. Between the openwork corners the outer edges have a trefoil feature, moulded at the front and concave at the rear. The pin bar is slightly bent and square in cross section, iron corrosion is visible in places along the pin bar, presumably from the pin, which is now missing. Post Medieval cast copper-alloy double-loop buckle frame with rectangular loops. The loops are rectangular in cross section. It has flat, trefoil projections at the corners and bilobed knops in the centre of the outer edges of the loops and at the ends of the strap bars. The knops in the cnetre of the loops have an incised transverse line across the front to act as a pin rest. One corner is now bent up 45 degrees in profile. The pin is missing. Complete but very worn cast cu-alloy late Roman pelta-shaped buckle dating to the 3rd century AD. This buckle is probably a derivative of late Roman military dolphin buckles.
