A short length of the handle survives, fired from a gritty orange/brown fabric, oval shaped in section and decorated on either side of the exterior surface with opposing diagonal grooves or notches. A worn cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It has D-shaped loops that are trapezoidal in section and separated at their centre by an integrally cast rectangular bar. On each side of the frame where the loops and bar meet are triangular notches but there appears to be no other decoration. It measures 17.20mm in width, 20.26mm in length, 1.50mm in thickness and 1.26g in weight. This buckle frame is of later Medieval to Post-Medieval date, c.15th-17th centuries AD.
