An incomplete Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy Pipe Tamper circa AD1700 - AD1850. The object is in the form of a ring with an oval bezel. From the loop of the ring extends a shaft, which has a collar and then a short section of screw thread. The ring is slightly distorted but is in otherwise good condition. It measures 35.7mm in length, the loop is 28.0mm wide, the thickness of the screw thread is 9.0mm and it weighs 9.5g.

An incomplete Post-Medieval cast lead powder flask cap, AD1600 - AD1700. The cap secured the mouth of a flask that held a single charge of gun powder. Sometimes up to twelve such flasks were carried on a bandolier, and were referred to as 'Apostles'. One of the integral loops that attached the cap to the bandolier is missing. The cap has been restored from a damaged condition to enable a more informative image to be presented. It measures 18.9mm in diameter, has an internal depth of 14.1mm, and weighs 12.4g. A complete Post-Medieval cast copper alloy Crotal Bell, circa AD1550 - AD1800. A spherical bell with a worn through suspension loop. It has two sound holes in the upper hemisphere opposite each other. Two more sound holes in the lower hemisphere are connected by a slit. Both of these holes have a crack radiating from them. The bells surface is very worn. It measures 39.4mm in height, is 31.0mm in diameter and weighs 32.5g.

A complete Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy Crotal Bell, circa AD1550 - AD1800. A spherical bell with a rectangular external shaped suspension loop. There are two opposing sound holes in its upper hemisphere, and two more in the lower hemisphere connected by a split. The bell is worn and has some corrosion on its surface, there is no decoration discernable because of this. It measures 39.7mm in height, has a diameter of 30.7mm and weighs 28.8g.

A complete Post-Medieval milled tin halfpenny, circa AD1689 - AD1692. This coin, which has a copper core, was issued during the reign of William and Mary, AD1688 - 1694. Obverse description:- conjoined busts right. Obverse inscription:- GVLIELMVS MARIA. Reverse description:- Brittania seated left. Reverse inscription:- BRITAN NIA. The coin measures 29.2mm in diameter, has a thickness of 2.4mm, and weighs 13.0g, and is in fair condition. A Post Medieval asymmetrical Buckle dating from 1575-1700 AD. It has six lobes along the outside edge of the rectangular loop, a knop at two symmetrical points on the outer edge of the rounded loop, and a knop at each end of the bar There is iron corrosion on the bar from the iron pin which is now missing. The buckle weighs 3.13gms, width18.71mm, length 23.76mm and is 2.49mm in thickness. It has a greenish patina with traces of tinning, and is in fairly good condition. A complete Post-Medieval cast lead-alloy Bridle Boss, circa AD1600 - AD1800. A circular disc, decorated on one side, and signs of two iron fixing points on the reverse. The decorated side has a flat circular centre within a ropework surround. A pattern of looped lines around single pellets circles the rim. Part of the edge has broken off after discovery due to damage received in antiquity, but is in hand. The boss measures 58.7mm in diameter, has a thickness of 3.3mm, and weighs 77.8g. A similar example may be found on the PAS database, SUSS-FE2460.

An incomplete Post-Medieval cast lead pencil, circa 1500-1750 AD. It is a short length of lead rod, circular in section, and with a slightly worn tip at one end. Difficult to date accurately, they are popularly recorded on the database from between the above dates. The object has a slight bend in its length, but is in otherwise good condition. It measures 34.6mm in length, has a thickness of 5.5mm, and weighs 8.8g.

A silver hammered penny of Elizabeth I, 1558-1603. Obverse shows crowned bust left. Obverse legend reads E.D. G. ROSA SINE SPINA. The mint mark is probably a hand which would place the coin in the fifth issue, 1582-1600 Spink 42nd Ed. p.235-247 or third coinage according to North, J.J. 1991 p.130-140, 1583-1603). Reverse shows the royal shield with a long cross fourchee dividing the legend. Reverse legend reads CIVI/TAS/LON/DON. Die axis is 12 o'clock, weight is 0.47g, diameter is 12.92mm, thickness is 0.60mm. See North, J.J. 1991, p.130-140, no.1988.

A copper-alloy pin, probably dating from the early post-Medieval period. The damaged head of the pin consists of two domed circular plates, joined together by means of a lead infill. The shaft extends from the underside of the head, is of circular section and extends to a sharp point. The two bends in the shaft may well have been created deliberately. The artefact measures 43.7mm long and weighs 3.88g; the head is 15.1mm in diameter.
