A complete cast copper alloy heraldic mount or plaque of medieval date. The mount is shield shaped and is decorated on one side with an armorial design consisting of four raised, upward pointing chevrons. Slightly discernable is the red tincture of the enamel of the chevrons and there is also some patchy traces of gilding still survivng. This could possibly display the heraldry of the De Clare family (Earls of Gloucester and Hereford) with the following blazon: Or, three chevronels gules. No obvious evidence for a method of attachment remains suggesting that this may have been inlaid into an object such as stone on funeral or other monuments.
The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The mount is 68.7mm long, 59.1mm wide, 2.7mm thick and weighs 50.6g.
Similar examples have been recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database as SUSS-3BA9B2 and IOW-0698F7.

An incomplete cast copper alloy candle holder or candle stick of post-medieval date. Only the central socket and branched arms remain in tact, the rest having been lost to old breaks. The socket is ovate in plan having been misshapen and is filled with a piece of copper alloy, presumable another portion of the candle stick - the spike or pricket. The socket flares out to the top and base forming raised borders. From the top edge two symmetrical branched arms project at opposing sides forming a sub-Y shape. The arms are circular in section and extend outwards to a sharp shoulder, curving up and inwards before curving back out to form a C-shape and terminating in worn breaks. These arms would have held separately cast sockets to accommodate candles.
The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The candle stick is 47.2mm long, 50.3mm wide, 13.5mm thick and weighs 55g.
Similar examples are illustrated in Brownsword, p.3, no.3 and have also been recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database as SOM-A005B1, SF-EC21B2 and WAW-CC91F6.

A complete cast copper alloy flanged axehead of early Bronze Age date. The axehead is sub-rectangular with a narrow and thin rounded butt and widely curved cutting edge. From the butt the body extends, expanding slightly in width towards a splayed blade and cutting edge. There are slightly raised flanges along the sides both of which show signs of wear and the surface of the axehead around the cutting edge is quite corroded and pitted. No casting flashes are visible and may have been removed after production. The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The axehead is 126.3mm long, 70.9mm wide at the blade, 23.9mm wide at the butt end, 17mm thick and weighs 308g.

A complete cast copper alloy zoomorphic knife end cap of post-medieval date. The cap is oval in section and is in the form of a stylized animal head, probably representing a dog or similar. The head has an elongated snout with a flattened end which curves upwards slightly. The mouth is indicated by a single incised groove running around the snout and the eyes are formed by single punched dots. The base of the cap has a deeply incised longitudinal slot into which the now missing tang of the blade/handle would have been inserted.
The metal has a dark greenish-brown patina and survives in good condition. The knife end cap is 19.6mm long, 14.5mm wide, 9.5mm thick and weighs 12g.
