A copper-alloy ring of uncertain purpose. This ring might be a finger-ring or alternatively a decorative ferrule from an umbrella, walking stick or riding crop. This artefact is of late 18th to 20th century in date. Weight is 1.69g, diameter is 20.38mm, width of band is 3.52mm and thickness of band is 1.39mm. The band is circular in plan and has a 'D' shaped cross-section. The soldered join in the band is well formed and can only be seen if the artefact is being looked at carefully. An incomplete Modern lead-alloy toy gun (c. 1850-c. 1920 AD). The stock survives and is sub-triangular in plan, pointed-oval in cross-section and has an open-ended butt. Both sides are similarly decorated with raised scrolling flowers and 'cross-hatching'. Toy guns were popular from the late 17th century and this example probably dates c. 1850-c. 1920. This object is largely coated with a buff patina. There is a break at the larger end. 35.29 x 16.42 x 8.72mm. Weight: 12.06g. Copper alloy and ?plaster Unknown. A disc of hard white cemented material with two concentric bands of copper alloy binding; the outer band, which is of 0.5mm thickness, has begun to unwind. Copper alloy with gilding Locket. Pressed metal oval back plate with five surviving bosses projecting from its edge, with an attached pressed plate, decorated with, from its outer order: a billeted edge, a granulated ring, and a central raised oval panel with the stamped image of a swallow. Gilding is retained between the billeted ornaments and around the granulations. A paur of holes of diameter 1.6mm in the back-plate may be intended to facilitate either opening or suspension.Suggested date: Modern, 1850-1900. Early modern cast cuff links dating from the 18th century. Comprised of two octagonal discs joined by an oval loop. Both discs have a concave reverse, with a central projecting loop. The upper surface of each disc is incised with the initial R I, seperated by a tar: R*I. There is no further decoration round the letters and no stamp or hall mark in the inside of the octagonal discs.

Lead Alloy Possible Knife Handle fragment. Cast rectangular plano-convex object, lightly dished on its back. The display face bears closely-spaced cross-hatched lines with a smooth terminal from which a subdivided triangular motif extends into the hatched field. A rivet hole of diameter 2mm appears off-centre here. Broken at the other end and abraded along the edges, and lightly bowed along its length. The hatching presumably afforded grip. A hard white fabric with white tin glaze overall bears a green stripe along its edge, and the edge of a blue and white transfer printed design featuring water on its flat base or top. A letter, possibly Q, is embossed on the outer surface. Suggested date: Modern, 1850-1900. Wallace Collyer of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group kindly identified this sherd. Modern copper alloy trade weight from a stacking set. The weight is circular with a wide raised rim on the top. The top has two concentric incised circles within the rim and stamped initials. The sides are angled and the back flat. The weight is stamped with a crowned GR at 6 o'clock, the crown is weakly stamped or worn, and a crowned V at right angles to this at 12 o'clock. It is 20.3mm in diameter and 3.5mm thick; it weighs 5.61 grams, 0.215 oz. It was probably originally a quarter of an ounce with some weight lost to corrosion.
