A post-medieval or modern lead seal. The seal is circular and has a rectangular hole running from side to side through which a cord would have been threaded. Lettering is visible around the perimeter on both sides.
Paul Cannon has kindly identified this is a Danish State seed control seal. Around the Danish crown was originally the inscription STATSFRØKONTROLLEN. The other face would originally have read KØBENHAVN.V. Both faces are now extremely difficult to read.
