A complete cast copper alloy barrel tap of late post-medieval to modern date. The barrel tap has a circular sectioned spigot which tapers towards the end for fitting into the barrel. The end is capped by a circular element with four perforations. Four rows of five holes are present at the open end followed by an area of fine longitudinal striations at the wider end.
