A cast copper-alloy buckle frame of Medieval date. It is a Meols type C, with rectangular frame that has an expanded outer edge and offset and narrowed rectangular bar. The outer edge is trapezoidal in section with transverse grooves at top and bottom of the front face and a pin rest formed from three transverse grooves. It has two vertical ridges on the outer edges of each side of the frame. The buckle measures 22.46mm in width, 17.55mm in length, 2.82mm in thickness and 3.30g in weight. It is of Medieval date, c.14th century AD.

Post Medieval (c1660-1720), cast copper alloy, trapezoidal shoe, or knee, buckle with what appears to be remnants of a white metal coating, probably tin decorated with moulded transverse ridges or scrolls around the spindle holes. The spindle is absent. The buckle is similar in type to No.610 & 611 (Buckles 1250-1800; Ross Whitehead). The length is 36mm and the width is 22mm.

An incomplete worn copper-alloy gilt Medieval (probably 1200-1500) buckle plate from a single-loop buckle, consisting of one plate only (probably the upper plate) and measuring 24.82x9.71x3.46mm, weighing 1.02g. It retains three dome-headed rivets, vertically arranged along the centre of the plate. The plate is 0.82mm thick and broken where the projecting tabs would have bent around the axis bar of the missing buckle frame. Between is a rectangular notch for the pin. Medieval buckle plate made of copper alloy. The object is rectangular in shape and consists of a folded plate with a rectangular recess in the folded edge, forming two loops to take the buckle frame. At the opposite end there are two circular rivets, one in each corner. There is no obvious decoration on the object. The length is 20mm and the length is 18mm. The weight is 1.94 grams.

A complete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single looped D-shape with a lipped framed for the pin and a narrowed and offset strap bar. A separately cast rectangular plate remains attached to the buckle frame being looped over the strap bar and folded back on itself. A single rivet is present placed centrally at the open end of the plate. The metal had a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 28.7mm long, 13.6mm wide, 4.8mm thick and weighs 1.9g. A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.21, no.76 and is dated to circa 1350 - 1450.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. All that remains of the buckle is the forked spacer and a short portion of the frame including the pin recess and pin. Plates remain in tact on both sides of the forked spacer though both are undecorated and worn and terminate in a fluted design. The metal has a light brownish-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 35.6mm long, 13.2mm wide, 4.2mm thick and weighs 5.3g.

A small, corroded cast copper-alloy single-looped buckle frame of medieval date. The frame is oval with a rounded outer edge. The pin bar is offset and narrowed; the pin is missing, although orange/brown corrosion product at its centre suggests that it was made of iron. There is a nick in the frame side of the pin bar, just off centre. Both surfaces of the frame are rounded. The frame is covered in light-green and light-brown corrosion product over a red/brown metal.

A Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle. The pin is missing. The strap bar and one outer edge of the frame has some iron staining, suggesting that the pin was composed of iron. There is a moulded knop on either end of the strap bar. The loops are rectangular with the outer edge pointed and bevelled, one containing traces of iron staining. The back is flat.The buckle measures 41.03mm long, 21.07mm wide, 2.23mm thick and it weighs 4.17 grams. Whitehead (2003) illustrates similar buckles (page 82, Nos. 512-513) which he dates to c.1620-1680 AD.

A cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle of post-medieval date, incomplete in that only one loop survives and it is missing its pin; there are slight vestiges of the other loop at one end of the pin bar. The surviving loop is steeply bevelled externally on the upper surface, bevelling echoed internally on the lower. The loop is decorated with a number of shallow horizontal grooves. The pin bar is bent downwards slightly.
