Large middle to late Neolithic axehead roughout made from a Cumbrian Group VI Langdale tuff dating from ca. 3500-2500BC. The roughout is in very good condition, with only little modern damage. It had been found by a farmer in a field and used as a doorstop on the farm for several decades. The roughout is thin-butted, double convex in section and has one crudely rounded and one almost rectangular end: the latter one would have been shaped into the blade. A late neolithic or early Bronze Age ground flint axe made from a mottled grey flint which has patinated ochre. The axe is complete save for modern flake damage on one edge and possibly also on the butt. The blade of the axe has been ground to a smooth surface although on one side the flake scars are too deep to exhibit much of the ground surface. The axe measures 129.71mm by 60.89mm and is 60.89mm thick. The thinness of the axe suggests that it could be influenced by contemporary metal axes.

A Neolithic stone polished, banded perforated object or 'mace-head' dating c. 2,900 - 2,100BC. The mace-head is rectangular in plan with rounded ends and an oval cross-section. There is an hour-glass perforation located approximately one third along its length. The carving of the mace-head has been worked so the natural banding of the stone forms transverse stripes. Knapped flint fabricator made on a large flake of Mesolithic to Early Bronze Age date. The bulb of percussion has been removed but the percussion ripple and visible. It is triangular in section with a central ridge on the dorsal face becoming thicker at the proximal end. There is retouch all around the edge: abrupt, scalar, short to long retouch down the sides and long, parallel, abrupt retouch around both ends. An incomplete undatable Prehistoric (Neolithic/ Bronze Age, 4000-800 BC) scraper on a secondary flake, consisting of the distal end only. It is snapped horizontally across the centre and measures 27.26x29.38x12.11mm. Weighs 9.57g. The scraper has a steep left dorsal edge with flake removal, while the distal end and right dorsal edge are flatter with smaller flake removals and some pressure flaking at the very edge. The flint is grey/ brown in colour, and translucent around the edges.

A knapped flint scraper of Neolithic date. The bulb of percussion and striking platform remain at the proximal end of the tool. Holding the flint with the proximal end facing the flint has had retouch applied from the dorsal face on the right lateral edge. However, it seems likely that the striking platform was used to rest the tip of the index finger on with the thumb resting on the centre of the dorsal face, allowing the worked scraper edge to be used to scrape towadrs the user. The flint is a mottled grey in colour. Find not photographed.

A knapped flint of probable Neolithic date. The flint is sub-triangular in shape and resembles an arrowhead in shape. However, the flint has no invasive retouch and it retains the bulb of percussion and striking platform, a very unusual feature in Neolithic or Bronze Age arrowheads as the bulb of percussion is normally removed to facilitate hafting. The 'arrowhead' shape therefore seems likely to be coincidence rather than design.
