A knapped flint of probable Neolithic date. The flint is sub-triangular in shape and resembles an arrowhead in shape. However, the flint has no invasive retouch and it retains the bulb of percussion and striking platform, a very unusual feature in Neolithic or Bronze Age arrowheads as the bulb of percussion is normally removed to facilitate hafting. The 'arrowhead' shape therefore seems likely to be coincidence rather than design. Very fine possible retouch resembling a saw blade may have been applied to both lateral edges, although it is possible that this has been caused during use …

A piece of chert, possibly worked. If it has been knapped from a core, it does not appear to have been retouched subsequently. The object does not have any of the clear hallmarks of human intervention - it does not have a clear bulb of percussion or striking platform. What appears at first to be retouch on the lateral edges may actually be natural damage and wear. The chert has a pale brown colour. Find not photographed.

A roughly squared piece of jet or similar black geological material, probably dating to the Roman period, c. AD 122-410. The 'jet' is sub-cuboid, missing one corner. The upper and lower faces are natural in appearance, having become removed from a larger piece by the natural cleaving of the rock, but two side faces are squared, suggesting that these were cut/shaped.

No edges to the pane survive, so impossible to tell what the original shape was when complete. The fitting is incomplete it is broadly rectangular in plan and C shaped in cross section. It tapers from one edge to the other. The upper surface has a crude rectangular hole cut through it. The reverse is damaged by the edges being forced together to form a hollow rod. From the style an early modern date is best preferred - probably 1650-1750. A similar but not directly comparable fitting has been recorded by the PAS from Skirpenbeck, Yorkshire (YORYM-47FF…

A fragment of a lead lattice grille with a curving outside edge, the internal design is made from a series of connecting arches. All of the strands of the lattice have a diamond cross-section. Parallels found on: http://whistlemuseum.com/2009/08/13/antique-bronze-whistle-england-medieval-period-.aspx This site attributes the style to the medieval period, however the metalwork and production appear to be consistent with a post-medieval style.
