Copper alloy oval seal matrix, with waisted, hexagonally faceted, handle. This terminates in a single collar topped by an intact pointed suspension loop with circular perforation. Device: on a plain background, a head in profile wearing a whimple or close fitting headdress and facing right. The the legend is bordered by a lines with cross hatching on either side. Measurements: face 18.83 mm diameter, handle 17.68 mm high.

A lead personal seal matrix of probable 13th century AD date. The die is circular and contains the central image of a fleur-de-lis within a circular border. The legend does not start at the top of the design and reads + S: RICI.SCORICh (Seal of Richard Scorich). On the reverse is a small lug handle. The object is corroded. It measures 19.7mm in diameter by 7.3mm thick and weighs 6.3g. The surname has no obvious modern parallel.

A lead personal seal matrix of mid to late 13th century date. The seal die is pointed-oval and flat, and has a projection at the top containing a horizontal attachment hole. The object is worn, bent and corroded. It measures 44.1mm high by 25.5mm wide and 5.6mm thick. The central image sits within an indented border and, when printed, depicts a man standing on the left hand end of a boat, facing right and steering the boat with a long rudder pole. Damaged lead vesica-shaped seal matrix. The matrix has a foliage motif in the centre and an inscription surrounding it reading: S:'AGNETIS FILIE ALAN (Seal of Agnes daughter of Alan). The inscription appears to be complete and the damage at the end of ALAN looks to be where the lead has been split and squashed rather than being missing. The suspension loop on the reverse is missing.

Post medieval copper alloy seal matrix with short hexagonal sectioned handle expanding into a flat trefoil terminal. The matrix itself is circular/ oval with the incised decoration of a horned four-legged animal with tail, apparantly running across a strip of land (depicted by two short horizontal lines), within a circle (flanking the edge). It is 28.5mm in length, the matrix having a diameter of 13x12mm (the edge is slightly damaged). It weighs 3.86g. 17th century.

Cast copper alloy seal matrix, 13th to 14th century. The seal has a pointed oval shape 'vessica' form. On the reverse is a median raised rib, approximately 2.7mm wide, down the length . Near the top of the rib is a lug with a single piercing. The die of the seal has been engraved. The central motif is 21.9mm long by 10.9mm wide. Its upper section contains two figures the larger of the two and is wearing a three pointed crown and is looking outwards. Approximately two thirds of a heavily corroded and damaged vessica-shaped lead seal matrix of probable mid to late 13th century AD date. A copper-alloy seal matrix of 'chess pawn' type medieval and circa 14th century in date. It has a lozenge shaped suspension loop with a circular hole through its centre. The shaft is hexagonal in cross-section and the die circular. It measures 19.6mm in total height and the die is 18.6mm in diameter. The die has a border inscription which read; I CRAKE NOTIS, which means, 'I crack nuts.' In the centre of the die there is a squirrel.

Fragment of a probably lead seal matrix. The object looks to be one quarter of a vessica shaped seal matric. The reverse is flat and plain. The face of the object has an incised line running down the long edge. This is more likely to be a mark caused during the cutting up of the seal rather than decoration, for the line runs through other decorative motifs and the legend surrounding it. A lead seal matrix of probable early 13th century AD date. The object consists of a circular disc measuring 33.5mm in diameter by 2.6mm thick and with a suspension loop at the top. The corroded and damaged disc has a central image of a fleur-de-lys (with a distinctive central feather or beech-leaf design) within a circular line border. When printed, the legend runs clockwise and reads: + S:WILLELMI:CLERICI (seal of William Clark). Overall, the object measures 46.5mm high by 33.5mm wide and weighs 18.92g.

Copper alloy matrix for a lozenge-shaped seal (35 x 29mm). The matrix depicts a lion rampant left surrounded by crosses with crosslets on three arms and a pointed fourth arm. The design is surrounded by a border of diagonal lines. There is a horizontal line separating the uppermost cross from the rest of the matrix, with three vertical lines below it, as an E on its side. The upper part of the matrix rises to form a sub-hexagonal handle, with three ridges below a pierced trefoil terminal. The upper surface of one point of the lozenge is stamped with a six-pointed star.

Fragment of a possible blank or unfinished medieval seal matrix, made from lead and pointed-oval in shape, 20mm wide and 22mm high. The object is in a good condition with a grey patina and weighs 6.94g. It is decorated on one side with a raised border and a central raised fleur de lis design. On the other side there is a border which may contain an inscription and inside this is an incised cross and possible oval motif. The object is quite worn and so is difficult to see.
