A cast copper-alloy dagger scabbard chape dating to the late medieval or early post-medieval period. The image provided (see notes, below) depicts the front-piece (traditionally a relatively thick cast element), but does not show the thinner backplate which would have been attached using solder. The bar from a now incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval purse. The artefact features a sub-rectangular central block with its two extending bars. Through the central block there is a circular perforation c. 5mm in diameter through which the shank of the loop would have travelled. The block is c. 14mm long, c. 13mm wide and c. 9mm thick. An incomplete hand made iron arrowhead dating to the medieval period. The arrow is socketed, with a long socket of c. 45mm, and has a barbed head with a noticeable medial longitudinal spine. In profile it takes the shape of a circle with triangular protrusions on either side. Jessop (1997, 3) notes that this is a 'relatively simple design', the central spine providing 'improved lateral strength and aerodynamic properties'. An incomplete forked spacer plate from a small medieval cast copper-alloy composite buckle. A worn and plain sub-oval frame with central pointed lip including triangular pin rest. The edges of the frame are thick at c. 5mm, and are probably bevelled (see notes, below). There is a notch in the frame which would have held the pin (now missing). The forker spacer continues for c. 7.5mm. Each prong has possibly been broken at this point following old damage. The plates have been lost. Such buckles are often found in fourteenth-century contexts.

A complete cast copper-alloy hooked tag dating to the post-medieval period. The artefact has survived well and all of its attributes are intact: curved hook, sub-oval body, trapezoidal attachment loop. The sub-oval tag features a bordered field decorated by a device which is difficult to discern (see notes, below). It appears to feature a cluster of small circles in its lower half and perhaps represents a thistle. No parallel has been found for such a device. Hooked tags of this form can be broadly dated to the 16th or 17th centuries.

A cast copper-alloy suspension device probably for a hanging lamp. There is a tall central stem which ends in a large circular loop (c. 9.2mm across externally, c. 3.6mm diameter internally). The stem is roughly circular in section and at its base is a triangle whose corners are all extended into arms. An incomplete copper-alloy sheet scale pan of medieval date, 14th or 15th century. From the illustration (see notes, below) it appears that around two-thirds of the pan survives. It is dished to a depth of 9.5mm. Such artefacts usually have three circular perforations for suspension from the beam by strings (Egan 1998, 322); this broken example only features two. Identification of this pair of artefacts is prejudiced by factors noted below. They were presumably cast in copper-alloy. They are cordate with a protrusion at the narrow end which is broadly trefoil in shape. In the side elements of the trefoil are circular perforations either for suspension as a pendant or for suspending further, lost elements in their capacity as mounts. It is thought that they are likely to be 18th-century harness mounts, of a type illustrated in Bailey (1995, 88; ref. 32).
