A ceramic vessel fragment; a rim sherd of Post Medieval pottery. The fabric is hard and fine in texture. It is a mottled dark grey and orange colour with few visible inclsuions. The inner face and over the rim is glazed with a thick dark brown glaze which is blistered and discoloured to black. This may be a poorly fired version of a Post medieval black ware. The rim is simply angled outwards and the piece is too small to estimate the rim diameter.The sherd is 34.56mm long, 23.41mm wide and 7.87mm thick. It weighs 9.87gm.

Two ceramic vessel fragments; wall sherds of probably Post Medieval pottery. The fabric is hard and fine in texture, though abraded. It is a dark grey with few visible inclusions, but the smaller piece is less reduced and is buff coloured. The outer surfaces of the large piece and all faces of the small piece are glazed in a crazed uniform yellow green colour. The smaller piece is a rim sherd with a simple out turned rim, but is too small to estimate the rim diameter.

Seventeen sherds of Roman grayware including 4 rim sherds and one base sherd. The sherds range in colour from buff through pale grey to dark grey and some are not entirely reduced. They all have a slightly irregular texture and many of the breaks are abraded. They are fairly soft and have mainly quartz inclusions.

An incomplete copper-alloy artefact of probable Late Iron Age to Early Roman date.
The piece is roughly 'L-shaped', a near vertical arm extending into the remains of pointed-oval plate. The arm is of semicircular section, the lower end flaring into a foot which has a groove around its damaged outer edge. At its top, the sides of the arm extend smoothly into the pointed-oval plate, just over half of which remains. An unidentified lead-alloy artefact of probable Medieval or post-Medieval date.
The artefact takes the form of a squashed cylinder, open at one end, the other end closed but for a central aperture. Immediately below the open end there are two attached strap handles, one on either side, their surfaces possibly decorated with a cast pattern of transverse grooves and ridges. The surfaces of the cylinder are heavily corroded but retain traces of a possible relief moulded pattern. A moulded ring extends around the cylinder, situated a short distance up from the closed end.

An incomplete Post Medieval cast lead Powder Flask cap, circa 1600 AD - 1700 AD. One of the integral loops that attached the cap to a bandolier is missing. The cap secured the mouth of a flask, that held a single charge of gunpowder for a Musket. Sometimes up to twelve such flasks were attached to a bandolier and were referred to as "Apostles". A complete cast copper alloy stamped domed thimble, c. 1350-1450 AD. The thimble was fashioned from a copper alloy sheet and hand punched with holes which spiral from the top; there is a circular 'tonsure' at the top of thimble's dome from this process. A small plain band is visible at the base. The thimble has been crushed slightly, possibly due to damage during deposition. The thimble measures 14.44 mm high, with a base measuring 17.29 mm by 13.61 mm, 0.70 mm thick sheet and weighs 1.94 grams.

Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore difficult to date precisely, however tokens with initials or letters are given a general date of c. 1550-1800.
