An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of Early-medieval date. Roughly half of the buckle remains and is circular in section with a devolved open-jawed animal head at the terminal. The opposing side of the buckle would also have terminated in this feature giving the appearance of two beasts biting the hinge bar. The frame is decorated with swollen rings at regular intervals. The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 31.1mm long, 5.7mm in diameter and weighs 6.8g. Similar examples can be seen in Hawkes, p.58, fig.20.

A complete silver medieval long-cross penny. The penny is heavily worn and bent by farm machinery. The intial mark is a cross pattee. Only the start of the obverse legend is clear, being EDWAR. The mint is Canturbury. The C and E are closed, with round backs, suggesting class 6 to 11a, Edward I or II. The crown is too worn to distinguish its type, as is the face and neck. Diameter 17.7mm,Weight 1.0g.

A well preserved Roman copper alloy lion mask mount, one of a pair found roughly side by side [see also BUC-F52027] 500mm apart. It was clear that they had not been buried still mounted on the object they had been fixed to or with any other objects. The face and especially the mask stands proud of the rectangular base plate, the fringe of mane around it, with separate curling strands delineated in progressively shallower relief. One end of a silver sheet tubular item, possibly a needle case or similar. The piece was originally tubular or oval in section formed of a rectangular piece of sheet rolled edge to edge and meeting in a seam down one side. The slightly convex faces suggest it was originally oval in section although it is now squashed flat. One end is incomplete with an irregular break. An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. All that remains of the buckle is the integral forked spacer, a short portion of the single looped frame and the pin. The pin is looped around the strap bar and the buckle is undecorated. The metal has a dark greenish-brown colour and is worn. The buckle is 31.4mm long, 18.4mm wide, 2.7mm thick and weighs 3.9g. Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead, p.37 and are dated to circa 1350 - 1450.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy vessel of medieval date. The fragment is part of the leg of a probable cooking vessel. The leg is roughly D-shaped in section with a slightly concave reverse, rounded edges and three raised ridges on the front. Both ends of the fragment are broken and worn. The leg is 35.3mm long, 22.7mm wide, 8.9mm thick and weighs 25.1g. The metal has a dark brownish-green patina and is worn. While it is not possible to allocate this fragment to a specific type a mid 13th to 16th century date is generally accepted for copper alloy cooking vessels.
