An incomplete cast copper alloy plate brooch of Roman date. The brooch is ovate in plan with a slightly raised border and central oval element. The resulting recessed areas would have been filled with enamel though no traces of this survive. On the reverse of the brooch the pin lug and a worn catchplate remain at opposing points on the longitudinal axis. The pin proper no longer remains.
The metal has a light greyish-green patina and is worn. The brooch is 27.6mm long, 21.2mm wide, 6.5mm thick and weighs 5.8g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Trumpet brooch of Roman date. All that remains of the brooch is the wide, trumpet shaped head with a slightly concaved reverse and single lug to accommodate the pin mechanism. The pin and pin mechanism no longer remain. The front of the head is elaborately decorated with moulded opposing knob ended tendrils. The interior of the tendrils bear traces of blue enamel while the outer recessed appear to hold red enamel.
The metal has a light green patina and is worn. The brooch is 19.1mm long, 18.2mm wide, 6.2mm thick and weighs 5.1g.

An incomplete cast pewter spoon of post-medieval date. The remaining fragment of the spoon is the "Maidenhead" finial in the bust of a female comprising an ovate head with straight fringe and shoulder length hair, narrow shoulders and curved bust. The back of the head is marked by wavering lines giving the impression of flowing hair. Below the bust is a triple banded collar with a worn and broken terminal. Long hair, left loose, is often considered to indicate a virgin, hence the term 'maidenhead' for this type of finial.

A complete cast copper alloy finger ring of probable post-medieval date. The hoop of the finger ring is sub-circular in plan, having been misshapen, and has a D-shaped section. The finger ring is decorated with a scrolled foliate design. The internal surface is smooth and undecorated.
The metal has a dark reddish-brown patina and is worn. The finger ring is 25.1mm in diameter, 5.4mm wide, 1.1mm thick and weighs 1.9g.

An incomplete cast lead whistle of modern date. The whistle is a hollow cone with open apex and a sub-triangular section removed to act as the sound hole. A casting seem is present along the two sides of the whistle and it is moulded with a design consisting of two ovate elements, giving the appearance of eyes. To either side of the "eyes" are two semi-circular designs which is repeated in retrograde on the bottom just in front of the sound hole.
The metal has a mid greyish white colour and is worn. The whistle is 15.8mm long, 13.9mm wide, 7.8mm thick and weighs 2.9g.

A complete but broken cast copper alloy finger ring of post-medieval date. The bezel is shield-shaped with tapering shoulders bearing central recessed ovate elements and a D-shape sectioned hoop. The hoop is misshapen and broken. Some patches of gilding remain on the surface of the finger ring.
The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is very worn. The finger ring is 19.9mm long, 14.4mm wide, 3.6mm thick and weighs 4.1g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy pipe tamper of post-medieval date. The hoop of the tamper is ovate in plan and circular in section with a sexfoil "bezel". Opposite the bezel a worn projection extends which is now broken but would have attached the tamper proper to the hoop.
The metal has a light reddish-brown patina and is worn. The tamper is 24.8mm long, 18.2mm wide, 1.5mm thick and weighs 2.6g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy hooked tag of post-medieval date. The hooked tag is of Reads Class E, Type 3 being circular in plan. The main plate is circular with a raised central design of a double rose. A trapezoidal attachment loop projects from the upper edge of the main plate and a worn break is present on the opposite edge from which the hook would have extended. The reverse of the object is concave and undecorated.
The metal has a dark reddish-brown patina and is worn. The hooked tag is 19.3mm long, 14.4mm wide, 2.5mm thick and weighs 1.1g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle is a trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle with a drilled frame for a separate spindle. The sides are concaves and the outer curved edges are ribbed. The pin remains in tact and is triangular in plan. A chape is also present around the spindle though the terminal no longer survives.
The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is worn. The buckle is 21.1mm long, 17.6mm wide, 3.2mm thick and weighs 3.1g.
A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.99, no.624 and is dated to circa 1660 - 1720.

An incomplete cast copper alloy La Tene III brooch of late Iron Age to early Roman date. The brooch is formed from a single piece of metal rod, circular in section, which forms the spring with a series of turns though only two now survive. The pin no longer remains. The catchplate is formed by the bow being hammered at a 90 degree angle to create a flat triangular plate.
The metal has a light brownish-green patina and is worn. The brooch is 53.1mm long, 11.6mm wide, 3.1mm thick and weighs 4.2g.

A complete cast copper alloy thimble of medieval date. The thimble has a circular base from which the sides taper inwards and curve towards the top where they form the crown, creating a dome. The thimble is decorated with drilled pits in continuing spiralling rings from the crown to the base. The inside of the thimble is undecorated.
The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The thimble is 17.4mm in height, 22.1mm in diameter, 1.2mm thick and weighs 5.9g.

A cast copper alloy vessel leg of late medieval date. The leg is circular in section and is steeply angled towards the foot which turns outwards at a sharp angle. The base of the foot is flat for stability. This leg is likely to be from a late medieval tripod ewer.
The metal has a mid blackish-green patina and is worn. The leg is 49mm long, 17.4mm wide, 14.4mm thick and weighs 37.9g.
