A fragment of a cast copper alloy vessel of medieval to post-medieval date. The fragment is part of the rim of a probable cooking vessel such as a cauldron or skillet. The rim is roughly rectangular in shape and cross-section with an irregular thickness. The vessel is smooth and turning marks can be seen on both faces of the object. The breaks around the rim fragment are very worn. The metal is a mid brownish-green colour and is worn. The fragment is 70.9mm long, 19.4mm wide, 1.7mm thick and weighs 15.5g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy parallel-winged terret of Iron Age date. Approximately one-third of the object remains. What remains of the hoop of the terret is circular in section with a wide collar from which a rectangular sectioned fitting bar would have projected. The hoop itself tapers away from the collar curving steadily and terminates in a worn break. An incomplete cast copper alloy probable flat or flanged axehead of early Bronze Age date. Only the blade end with a widely curved cutting edge survives, the rest having been lost to old and worn breaks. A faint casting flash is present in the tight curve of the blade tips. The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The axehead is 32.3mm long, 65.1mm wide, 11.3mm thick and weighs 69g.

A cast, copper alloy dome-shaped "pimple" button of Post Medieval date. It has a wire attachment loop. The button probably dates from the late 15th or 16th century. It is undecorated except for a prominent, raised pellet in the centre.It is a silver/grey colour and probably has a high tin content. The button is 12.99mm in diameter and 4.83mm thick. It weighs 2.4 grams. Compare to BH-2776F2 and SWYOR-BO99A2.

A copper alloy plate from a small Medieval buckle. It was originally one plate wrapped around the buckle frame and riveted with one rivet at the strap end; this rivet remains in situ.The plates are plain and have a green patina. They are broken straight across where they wrap round the bar. The plate measures 20.91mm long x 9.60mm wide x 1.46mm thick and weighs 1.1 grams. A complete cast copper alloy button and loop fastener of Iron Age to Roman date. The fastener is of Wild's Class II and is ring headed with a circular sectioned shank projecting at a 90 degree angle from the edge with a thin lip moulding. The shank bends again at a 90 degree angle and splits to form a triangular loop on a separate plain below the head. The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is fairly worn. An incomplete cast copper alloy mirror handle of late Iron Age date. The handle comprises a circular sectioned shank broken at one end and terminating in a loop at the other. The shaft is beaded with only three beads remaining one of which tapers to the integrally cast keeled loop terminal. The opposite end is broken and worn. The metal has a light greenish-brown patina and is worn. The handle is 39mm long, 10.5mm in diameter at the base and the loop is 15.1mm in diameter and 5.1mm thick. It weighs 10.9g.

A copper alloy coin weight dating from 1720-1740, used for weighing the Portuguese half moidor. One side carries a voided cross potent with a four petalled floral ornament in each angle, all within a beaded outer border; the other the word MOIDOR with value above and a letter W below, also within a beaded outer border. This weight is a little unusual in that the denomination is shown as 2/. and not, as might be expected, 1/2. It is 18.6mm in diameter and 2.5mm thick. It weighs 5.3gm. A lead alloy cloth seal, possibly dating from the late sixteenth or seventeenth centuries. The main body of the seal is roughly rectangular. A narrower, folded strip of metal projects from one end and terminates in a roughly circular loop that fits over an integral rivet on the underside of the main body. The main body is unmarked, but the loop and rivet on the underside carry some lettering, the last two characters of which are EL. The seal is 31.8mm long, 24mm wide and 5.36mm thick. A cast copper alloy, Roman dumbell toggle dating from the late 1st-3rd century. It consists of a waisted central section with a small collar and a rounded globular terminal at each end. The toggle displays a patchy, light green patina. It is 23.2mm long and 9.4mm in diameter. It weighs 5.96gm. A similar toggle is illustrated in Cool & Philo (Eds.), 1998, Roman Castleford, Excavations 1974-85: The Small Finds, page 114, number 784. A crudely cast lead alloy weight of uncertain date. It is roughly conical with a rounded convex base and an off-centre, circular perforation in the apex. This perforation does not penetrate completely through the weight. It is probably where a loop was attached. It is 43.2mm in diameter and 31mm high. It weighs 203gm. At 7oz, it may have been intended for an 8oz weight when the loop was present and before corrosion.

A copper alloy cast rectangular belt mount, of D shaped section with a rivet hole of 1mm diameter towards each end. The rivet holes are wider, as if countersunk, c.2mm, on the reverse face. It was probably used as a belt stiffener. The convex surface is apparently smoothed by wear. The mount tapers from 3.80mm to 4.28mm wide, it is 13.82mm long x I.91mm thick and weighs 1.2g. A similar one can been seen at NLM-EC91BO. Suggested date: Medieval, 1350-1500.

Cast copper alloy strap mount dating from the Post-Medieval period. The object is octagonal in plan and raised in the middle (having slightly chamfered edges). Two oval sectioned tapering integral lugs or spikes project from the reverse of the object; one has broken off at the bend, and the other is complete but bent at 90 degrees in the middle. The mount has probably been fastened to a leather belt or strap and the lugs bent over to grip the leather. It is plain on the front.
