A complete cast copper-alloy toy cannon of Post-Medieval date. It has a cylindrical barrel that tapers towards a flaring open end with concave moulding. At the centre extend integrally cast cylindrical trunnions to attach the cannon to a carriage. It has a circular touch hole at the closed end positioned between two circumferential bands, and the closed end itself has a projecting cylindrical knop. The barrel has a bore of approximately 5.43mm and measures 54.19mm in length, 11.67mm in maximum diameter, 14.75mm in width at trunnions, and weighs 25.11g. Toy cannons such as this became …

A cast copper-alloy Early-Medieval/Anglo-Saxon hooked tag of Read Class A Type 1. It has a flat, sub-triangular plate that tapers towards the base where there is an integral hook that tapers to a sharp rear-facing tip. The front face of the plate has incised decoration comprising four ring and dot motifs arranged in a simple cross shape at the centre of the plate. At the top of the plate are two circular sewing holes surrounded by incised circles. The entire object measures 25.21mm in length, 15.80mm in width, 0.78mm in thickness and 1.08g in weight. An incomplete cast copper-alloy strap fitting or belt mount of Post-Medieval date. It has a lozenge shaped plate with slightly concave back face and moulded decoration on the front face. This comprises small projecting knops at top and bottom, double transverse grooves at both ends of the plate between which is a central recessed area that is sub-triangular in form with rectangular projections at centre of top and bottom edges.
