A pierced copper-alloy 'French style' jetton of Louis XIII of Nuremberg Master Wolf Lauffer II dating to the period AD 1610-1643. The obverse depicts the king, mounted on horseback facing right; Legend: LVDO. XIII. D. G. FR. ET. NA. REX. CHRIS. The reverse depicts two leafy columns, surmounted by a single crown, with W.L on the pediment; Legend: FOEDERA MAGN - REGIS SACRA. The flan has two diamond shaped perforations, the smaller one at 12 o'clock, the larger at 9 o'clock, located close to the edge. As Mitchiner 1988, Volume 1, p. 486, no. 1722.
