An incomplete post-medieval copper-alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle, dating from about AD 1575-1700.  The back surface of the buckle is flat, but the front is bevelled. It has one rectangular and one D-shaped loop, separated by a central strap bar. The sides of the frame are straight and parallel. The pin is missing from the strap bar, but there are traces of iron corrosion. The buckle has a brown and green patina and appears to have had a white metal coating. A complete copper-alloy early medieval to medieval D-shaped buckle loop frame with a narrowed bar, and a fragment remains of the pin attached to the bar, pin missing. The outside edge of the loop is bevelled. There are zoomorphic mouldings each side of the strap bar. It is 28.49mm in length, 22.02mm in width,3.97mm in thickness and weighs 5.93g. Similar examples can be see in Griffiths et al, 2007, pg62, 310, which they date broadly to the 11th-12th Century AD.

An incomplete Post-Medieval copper alloy buckle dating to c.AD 1690-1720. It is missing its separate strap bar, pin and chape. The buckle frame is oval in plan and a pointed oval in cross section that is placed at an angle, the inner edge being higher than the lower edge. It is also slightly convex in profile.
