Silver coin. Frisian sceat of series E variety D, cf. Abramson ref. E180, issue of 700-710 from Dorestad. Obverse description: porcupine: long rightward crescent separates eleven pellet-ended quills from an enclosed triangle with two pellets within it and two pellets below triangle. Reverse description: beaded rectangular standard with central pellet in annulet, flanked by four pellet-ended bars set end to end in pairs, three pellets above and one to left may represent a ‘legend’. Diameter: 12.5mm, Weight: 1.20gms
