A probable Neolithic flint knife, (c.4000 - c. 2200 BC) Description: The knife is formed from a tertiary flake sub-rectangular in shape with a roughly triangular cross section, the flat face is the ventral side of the flake. The edge is created with short invasive scaled low angle retouch it doesn't extend to each end of the edge and has been worked from both faces. The opposite edge has some crushing at the top corner around a fault in the flint, possibly to blunt a sharp section the knapper didn't deem necessary. The ventral face has a prominent bulb of percussion and clear conchoid…

A Retouched flint flake of uncertain probable prehistoric date, on the balance of probability possibly Late Neolithic to Bronze Age, c. 3300-800 BC. A secondary flake of mottled pale grey flint with a small area of cortex surviving on the left edge of the dorsal face, covering c. 10%. At the proximal end the strking platform has been worked away by semi-abrupt, irregular and relatively long retouch, struck from the ventral face. The proximal half of the left edge of the dorsal face features further, long, abrupt, scalar retouch, with one hinged removal. The bulb of percussion is relati…
