An extremely worn and corroded 2nd-century copper-alloy Roman sestertius probably of Faustina II, standing figure reverse, Rome mint (c. 161 - c. 175 AD; Reece issue period 8). This coin has been pierced at a later date possibly for re-use as an item of jewellery. The piercing is at around 5 o'clock on the obverse and around 1 o'clock on the reverse.

A very worn Roman Sestercius of Marcus Aurelius (161-180 AD). Reece Period 8. Mint unknown. The obverse is extremely worn, but depicts a bust facing right. The reverse seems to depict Jupiter seated left, holding attributes. For two similar examples, cf.: RIC III, p285, No. 916 (c. Dec. 165-Summer 166); p292, No. 988 (c. Dec. 170-Dec. 171) . Neither legend survives to facilitate a full identification.
