Flint flake, ovoid in plan and plano convex in profile. The distal end on the dorsal side is fractured and the right margin has sharp serration. Both the left margin and proximal end are cortex. On the ventral side there are conchoidal ripples and a partial hinge fracture on the upper left marginal edge.
The flint is semi translucent mid grey with a secondary cortex of dark beige with marked iron stains.
Mercer (1981) illustrates a similar example on page 131, Fig. 57, No. L. 110 which is dated to the Neolithic period.

Flint flake, semi ovoid in plan and lozenge shaped in profile. On the dorsal side the distal end is snapped and the right and left margins finely serrated. The surface is convex with off centre mesial ridging. On the ventral side there is retouch scarring on the right margin. There is gloss near the proximal end which has had some small flake removal near the bulb of percussion. It appears to be a scraper on a flake or it could be a truncated knife [see Butler (2005) page 115, Fig. 46, No. 6].
The flint is semi translucent pale to mid grey brown in colouring with a tertiary cortex.
Bond (2004) illustrates a similar example on page 141, Fig. 5.127, No. 2 which is dated to the Neolithic period.
