Copper alloy plate, probably from a strap fitting of medieval or Post medieval date. The piece is rectangular with one slightly concave end and a projecting trapezoid tab at the opposite end. The tab narrows away from the main plate and ends in a slightly bent up end, probably an old break. There are two circular holes thtough the plate, one near each end for attachment. The front is gilded. It is 36.0mm long by 16.8mm wide and 1.2mm thick and weighs 3.86g.
The lack of pin slit suggests it is not from a buckle and it is more robust than most strap end or book clasp plates suggesting it may be part of a strap fitting or attachment.

Medieval or Post-Medieval copper alloy sheet rivet, of the type usually used for repairing metal vessels. The rivet is formed from kite shaped pieces of sheet metal, rolled into a cone, with the top folded over to form the head. The long point of the cone is bent into a curve. It measures 50.9mm in length, 17.1mm by 10.7mm at the head and weighs 6.84g.
A discussion of these rivets can be found in Egan (2005, p.101). Egan suggests that these were a later form a rivet, which took over from the Medieval folded staples in the late 15th to the mid to late 16th century and continued in use into the 18th century (ibid.).

Medieval to Post Medieval hooked tag of copper alloy sheet. The plate is flat, triangular in plan with rounded corners. One edge is curved and the point opposite this edge has a small hook formed by the plate being bent to the front. There is a small, circular hole roughly in the centre of the plate towards the curved lower edge. The hole is punched through the plate from the back. The tag measures 22.4mm long, 20.7mm wide, 2.1mm thick with the hook; 0.4mm without and weighs 0.75g.

Post Medieval copper alloy mount with two integral spikes. The mount has a drop shaped main section; a circular plate tapering to a point which then widens to a a tri-lobed terminal with two rounded lateral lobes and one central vertical lobe more triangular in shape. There is a possible break at the rounded end of the circular section. The front of the mount has moulded decoration, although the corroded state renders this difficult to discern. There appears to be scrolls emphasizing the two lateral lobes and two scrolls in the rounded circular section towards the possible break with a row of crescents above. The spikes on the back are located in the centre of the plate, one in the centre of the circular main section and one in the centre of the two lateral lobes. The spikes are circular in section, tapering in thickness to points; one is broken around the middle of the length. The complete spike bends inwards towards the centre of the mount. It measures 24.5 mm in width, 12.5 mm win width, 2.4 mm in thickness; 7.3 mm including the spikes and weighs 2.97 g.

Post Medieval sword belt mount dating to the 16th century. The mount has a tri-lobed end with a narrowed waist underneath. This waist then expands forming rounded shoulders before tapering in width to a lateral ovoid section. Below the oval starts the hook which extends downwards before curving towards the front of the plate and ends in a rounded knop. The front of the mount has floriate decoration. There are two iron rivets still present in the plate, both in the centre; one to the tri-lobed end and one towards the hook. It measures 49.1mm long, 20.8mm wide, 2.3mm thick (12.7mm thick including the hook) and weighs 8.32g.
Reed (2008) illustrates a similar sword belt mount, no. 793, dated to the 16th century.

Post Medieval copper alloy buckle with copper alloy pin and plate. The frame is oval in plan, double looped with a circular sectioned and narrowed strap bar. The outer edges are widened and the frame has a slightly scalloped edge. The pin is rectangular with the end tapering to a rounded point. It is bent around the strap bar. The plate is rectangular in plan with a rectangular with two tabs at the strap bar. These tabs bend over the strap bar and widen into the back plate. There are two circular attachment holes at the end of the plate, the rivets have been lost.
Similar buckles can be seen in Whitehead (2003), no. 384 with a similar scalloped frame and no. 299 with complete buckle plate, dated AD 1550-1650.

Probable Medieval or Post Medieval, sheet copper alloy, buckle plate or possible handle attachment. The plate is broadly rectangular in plan with a crude circular attachment hole at one end. The opposite end terminates in two tabs with a rectangular open slot between. The ends of the tabs have evidence of having been bent over, probably attaching to a back plate, now lost. The ends are now broken. The front and back of the plate is rough, with no traces of decoration. It measures 35.7mm long, 16.9mm wide, 1.5mm thick and weighs 4.31g.
