A late Medieval - early Post Medieval copper alloy buckle dating 15th - 16th century. This buckle has a single-looped frame with a triangular cross-section. The cross-bar is stepped in from the frame and has a circular cross-section. The centre of the outer edge of the frame curves inward creating a bi-lobed profile and there is a small central square boss where the pin rests. There may be decoration on the outer surface but the patina and corrosion is obscuring the detail. A Medieval copper alloy suspension mount for a harness pendant dating 13th - 14th century. This mount has a slightly domed circular face with a tab projecting from the lower surface and a stud in the centre of the reverse. The tab has a long slot running vertically up the length and it is folded back on itself creating the double loops to secure the axis pin from which the harness pendant suspends. A Roman copper alloy fragment of a Colchester derivative brooch (AD43-80). The fragment comprises the lower part of the bow and the catch-plate. The bow has a triangular cross-section with a central ridge extending up the bow; either side of the ridge the surfaces are in-curving. There is no foot-knob. A Roman copper alloy eye clasp from a necklace hook and eye fastener dating AD43-410. This is a Read (2008:3) Class A Type 1 fastener. The fastener has a rectangular shank with a truncated sub-triangular section and there is an integral, flattened, circular tab at each end with a central, circular perforation for attachment. Medieval damaged and incomplete cast copper alloy dagger guard. It is formed of a cylindrical bar with expands at the terminals (one of which is missing) forming a flat circular knop. The bar also expands at the centre to accommodate a sub-rectangular slot, which would have held the tang of the dagger. The guard is broken across the central slot, with only one half surviving. Post Medieval cast copper alloy sword belt fitting. It is subtrianfular in plan with a hooked terminal extending from the apex of the triangle. There are two semi-circular knops on the lower edge. There are two rivet holes in the main body, one of which has the corroded remains of a rivet. It is 30.33mm long, 12.25mm wide, 2.38mm thick increasing to 7.09mm thick to include the hooked terminal. It weighs 2.24 grams.
