Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL
County: Solihull
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A post-Medieval lead bullet. It is potentially 18th century in date. This is because it weighs 5.63g, which is roughly 81 bore. This would likely mean this is the bullet from a miniature pistol, potentially one meant for the use by women at close range. There do not seem to be any striations, and a small flatter section may simply have been the location of a sprue from casting rather than necessarily being evidence of firing damage.
