A hoard of sestertii found "on ploughed land not far from Slough" in a bronze bowl in 1979. Listed for sale by Richard Swan (part of sale listing pamphlet seen, post-dating 1982, with types and illustrations of coins). It is not certain if the whole hoard was recorded, the listing notes "two other coins were examined by the writer which were said to come from the same hoard, a Trajan sestertius, and one of Marcus Aurelius as Augustus [which]...would push the date of bural much further than the middle 150's AD". A Post-Medieval gold posy ring. The outer hoop is plain and appears to have been polished. The inner hoop bears the inscription 'God gives increase to love and peace' followed by what appears to be a maker's mark, a letter H within an irregular shield shaped enclosure. A cast copper alloy medieval harness decoration. The pendant is quatrefoil shaped with small projections between the lobes. The front is decorated with the design consists of a crudely drawn four legged creaturein a central square border. Traces of the background yellow enamel are just visible behind the animal. The fleur de lis border has a red enamel ground. The attachment loop at the top is broken, but was at right angles to the plane of the pendant. It probably dates from c.1250 - 1450.
