An incomplete harness pendant of medieval date (c.AD 1200-1400). The Object consists of a disk-shaped plate suspended from an integral loop which is incomplete. The face of the plate has a convex face and features and openwork cross, with voided quarters. The loop is broken at its apex and has two moulded semicircular projections on each side. A complete lead alloy button dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1500-1600). The button has a solid, domed head that is undecorated. The base of the head is flat and in the centre is an integral, circular attachment loop. The object has a dark cream patina. Dimensions: Length 8.7mm; diameter 10.2mm; weight 2.04g Similar buttons are illustrated in Read (2010, 72-4) though these typically have decorated heads, they date from the 16th-17th century.

A complete copper alloy coin weight dating to the medieval to post medieval period (c.AD 1421-1480). The weight is disc shaped and the face presents a crown above a fleur-de-lis, all within an incised circle. The reverse is undecorated. The object has a smooth dark green patina. Dimensions: Diameter 14.2mm; thickness 2.4mm; weight 3.17g The coin weight is for a half noble. Fleur-de-lis and crown weights were first introduced from an Act of Parliament in 1421 and continued to be made into the 1470s. See Withers & Withers (2011, 41).

An incomplete copper alloy trumpet brooch of Roman date (c.75-175). The brooch is likely Mackreth (2011:85) No 5164, type 1.3a2. The Brooch has a rounded head, on the reverse is which is where the pin would have been attached however it is now smooth. The face of the head has been eroded and chipped. The curved narrow bow projects downwards from the rounded head and a squared break. The brooch has developed a brown/ deep orange patina. Dimensions: Length 25.2mm, Width 12.6mm, Weight 3.37g.

A complete, cast, copper-alloy annular brooch dating c. AD. 1250-1400. The object is circular in plan and D shaped in section. There are four circular turrets, one on each side of the open loop pin. The turrets all contain white paste that are sunken below the raised circular collars within which they are set, which project from the body of the brooch. The pin tapers to a point. An incomplete cast copper-alloy double loop buckle of medieval date (c.AD 1350-1400). The object consists of the bar of a buckle with a triangular bar moulding on each end. One loop is almost completely absent however the other is two thirds complete and has another triangular projection at its apex. The face is convex and reverse slightly concave. Dimensions: Length 46.6mm, Width 35.0mm, Thickness 3.3mm, Weight 7.16g. According to Whitehead’s Buckles (2003, 58) double loop oval buckles with bar mouldings are typically only found in contexts dating to AD 1350-1400.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy double loop oval buckle of medieval to post-medieval date (1350-1650). The buckle is made up of two oval loops separated by a central bar on which the missing pin would have been attached and rested on the outside edge. The buckle features no decoration and has developed a green patina. The obverse is convex and reverse flat. Similar examples can be found in Whithead’s Buckles (2003, p53) which provide the above date. Dimensions: Length 22.9, Width 18.9mm, Thickness 2.6mm, Weight 2.31g.

A complete copper alloy bar mount dating to the Medieval period (c.AD 1200-1400). The mount is in the form of a bar with an open circular centre with two arms extending at opposite sides. The terminal of both ends presents a smaller rounded open lobe. The attaching rivets are missing. The mount has a dark green and brown patina due to corrosion of the copper alloy.  See Egan and Pritchard (1991) Plate 134 Nos 1154, 1158 for similar illustrations. Bar mounts were used as girdle mounts attached transversely in a row on straps.

Complete copper alloy single sheet strap end folded widthways dating to the Medieval period  (c.AD 1200-1400).  The strap end is sub-rectangular in shape but with an angled end/tongue shape which tapers to a pointed end. A rivet is still in situ at the top of the strap end connecting the two sides together and some fabric/cloth remains in between the two sides of the sheet of metal which is a light brown colour with evidence of textile fibres. It has a dark green smooth patina.
